Xiaomi promised a new camera for Xiaomi Mi 10i

Vice President of Xiaomi Global and Managing Director of India Manu Kumar Jain confirmed today that the Xiaomi Mi 10i smartphone has been created and customized specifically for the Indian market.

It will join the lineup that already features the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T Lite. Manu Kumar Jain said the smartphone will receive a brand new main image sensor and other India-exclusive features.

As for the camera, it should get the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 image sensor, which previously debuted in the Chinese Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. But for the line of Xiaomi smartphones, this sensor is new.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 6.67-inch screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with an image refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a tiny cutout for a 3.8 mm front camera. The smartphone is built on the basis of a single-chip system Snapdragon 750G with support for 5G, the battery capacity is 4820 mA • h, there is support for fast charging with a capacity of 33 W. Also, users have access to a side fingerprint scanner, 3.5 audio jack and NFC.

The Xiaomi Mi 10i is expected to be announced on January 5th.
