Huishoubao, founded in 2014, regularly publishes safety ratings for the residual value of mobile devices. A fresh ranking for the entire 2020 was recently published.

Xiaomi topped the list as its smartphones retain the highest residual value when their users are ready to purchase new models. The first place went to the Xiaomi Mi 10, while the second place was taken by the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.

In addition, the top ten includes Huawei Mate Xs, Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Honor 30 Pro, OnePlus 8, Honor Play 4 and Huawei Nova7.

According to official information from the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, from January to October 2020, the total shipments to the Chinese mobile phone market amounted to 252 million units. Of these, almost half (124 million smartphones) were models with support for fifth generation networks.

Since June this year, shipments of 5G-enabled mobile phones in China have consistently accounted for over 60% of total shipments. There is no doubt that 5G smartphones in China will account for more than half of shipments in 2020.
