Xiaomi was one of the first to release beta versions of the fresh Android 11 operating system for its smartphones. It is now the leader among smartphone manufacturers, aside from Google itself, in terms of the number of models with the ability to try out Android 11.

First, the flagship Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in China received the test Android 11, then it was the turn of the Redmi K30 Pro, as well as the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro. All this happened before the end of August. In September, Xiaomi began recruiting volunteers to test Android 11 among international Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Poco F2 Pro users. Soon, the sponsored Poco brand promised an early launch of Android 11 for Poco X2, but has not kept the promise yet.

In addition, Xiaomi was the first manufacturer besides Google to introduce stable firmware based on Android 11. The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are pioneering again, this time not only in China but also internationally. The next stable Android 11 was the Redmi K30 Pro. At the moment, Android 11 is available in one form or another for seven models of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones.

Stable versions of Android 11 marked beta (available to a limited number of users) are available for Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro / Poco F2 Pro in China and outside of China. Wider distribution will begin with the “stable” status without the “beta” mark, when the manufacturer is convinced of the problem-free firmware according to the reviews of the first users.

Android 11 open testing is underway for Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i, Mi CC9 Pro and Mi 10 Lite Zoom in China.

Xiaomi plans to subsequently release Android 11 for Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi 9A, Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi K20, Mi 9T and some other models. So far, all Android 11 firmware uses the MIUI 12 shell. Next year, the transition to MIUI 13 is expected.
