Xbox Series X will only hit the largest video game market in the first half of 2021

Microsoft has already started selling the next generation Xbox Series X game console in many countries around the world, but in China, the console has not yet been released. Analysts are confident that the Xbox Series X will arrive in China next year.

According to SCMP, Xbox Series X is being delayed in China due to a recent regulator’s decision that the console must receive the necessary certifications. At this point, Microsoft has already received 3C certification from the Office of Certification and Accreditation of the People’s Republic of China. This certificate guarantees the safety of products that are imported, sold or used in China.

Receiving this certification indicates the upcoming launch of the Xbox Series X in the country. China is the world’s largest video game market, so Microsoft is working hard to launch its console in the region as soon as possible.

Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at gaming consultancy Niko Partners, said the Xbox Series X will launch in China in the first half of 2021. That said, Microsoft still needs to obtain a certificate from the PRC Ministry of Culture.
