The Russian AliExpress has a “Media Center” for storing and processing photos

The Russian AliExpress announced the launch of a built-in service for storing and processing photos – Media Center.

It is intended for Russian sellers. As noted by the developers, unlike many other cloud services that allow you to process and store up to 10 GB for free, the Media Center’s capacity will be 50 GB.

With the help of the Media Center, AliExpress sellers will be able to make basic edits to the photo, making it more suitable for online sales: remove the background, rotate or flip the image, change the size or aspect ratio. Each finished photo is assigned a link that can be used to upload the product to the store on AliExpress via Excel.

Herman Weimer, head of platform development for sellers at AliExpress Russia, noted:

For medium and large businesses, preparing images for online sales does not cause problems, because companies of this scale can afford the services of a photographer and a designer. Self-employed, sole proprietors and small companies often solve the issue with their own resources, which can suffer quality. The built-in image preparation tool will allow even small sellers to better present their products on the platform and improve their sales figures. ”

AliExpress Russia is a joint venture between Alibaba Group, Mail.ru Group, Megafon and RDIF.
