Xiaomi has begun to distribute the stable MIUI 12 branded shell for users of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 smartphone in the international market, including Russia.

Chinese users received stable MIUI 12 for Mi Max 3 back in August, along with Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. However, the Chinese firmware is not very suitable for international versions, and it also lacks Google services and applications.

Now global and Russian MIUI 12 firmwares for Mi Max 3 have become available under the numbers 12.0.1.0.QEDMIXM and 12.0.1.0.QEDRUXM, respectively. They have received “stable beta” status, which means limited availability to users. Wider distribution will begin when the manufacturer is convinced that there are no problems according to the reviews of the first users.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 debuted in 2018 and is the latest in the Mi Max series of tablet phones with huge screens. At the start of sales, the smartphone was installed with MIUI 9 shell based on Android 8 Oreo, and then Xiaomi updated it to MIUI 10 and MIUI 11 based on Android 9 Pie and Android 10. The MIUI 12 shell will be the last major update of the model.

In Russia, in the official Xiaomi online store, the Mi Max 3 smartphone is still on sale. It is offered at a price of 22,990 rubles.
