This spring, the Carbon 1 MK II was introduced, the world’s first phone with a monolithic carbon fiber body. It was released by the German manufacturer Carbon Mobile for 800 euros. Carbon Mobile announced some important changes this week.

The Carbon 1 MK II mobile phone was originally manufactured in China, but the company recently announced that it had moved its manufacturing base to Germany, where it is manufactured in a former Motorola factory. At the same time, the company cooperates with the distributor Ingram Micro.

Although final production has been moved from China to Germany, Carbon Mobile is still inseparable from the Asian supply chain. The camera, body and other components of the Carbon 1 MK II are still manufactured by Asian companies.

The good news is that the Carbon 1 MK II will be priced immediately by 200 euros, meaning it can now be purchased for 600 euros.
