EK Water Blocks presented the EK-Quantum Vector TUF RTX 3070 D-RGB waterblock, designed specifically for the Asus TUF RTX 3070 video card. The 255mm long and 149mm high waterblock belongs to the category of full coverage waterblocks, that is, it removes heat not only from GPU, but also from other hotspots – memory chips and power subsystem components, including powerful voltage regulators and chokes.

The base of the waterblock is made of copper and nickel plated. The manufacturer notes the use of a channelized circuit, which ensures uniform distribution and smooth flow of the coolant without loss of efficiency due to disturbances and “dead zones”, as well as low hydrodynamic resistance, which allows the water block to be used in conjunction with low-power pumps. The water block works equally well in any direction of flow. An array of microchannels is formed on the inner side of the base area adjacent to the GPU.

The cover of the water block is made of transparent plastic and the terminal is made of black. The waterblock is adorned with eight addressable LEDs. The backlight is compatible with Asus Aura Sync and other common backlight control technologies.

The water block costs 174.9 euros. In addition, the company offers a metal plate that is attached to the back of the PCB and distributes thermal and mechanical loads, as well as gives the video card with a water block a more attractive appearance. The black EK-Quantum Vector TUF RTX 3070 Backplate – Black will cost the buyer 42.9 euros, and the nickel-plated EK-Quantum Vector TUF RTX 3070 Backplate – Nickel – 49.9 euros. Deliveries are due to begin this month.
