Seven out of ten smartphone buyers in China are open to new brands

A study by Strategy Analytics of the world’s largest smartphone market found that only half of Chinese users are satisfied with everything in their smartphones. That being said, seven out of ten Chinese planning to buy new smartphones in the next six months are open to an entirely new brand if they see good reviews and attractive prices.

It is significant that 35% of high-end smartphone users intend to replace their devices within the next six months. The survey shows that 5G support has already become a requirement – 90% of all users want it on their next smartphone.

Analysts conclude that Chinese shoppers are among the least loyal to consumer electronics brands. Winning a customer the first time is difficult, but keeping them for the next purchase is even more difficult. According to the study, users of Apple smartphones show the greatest loyalty to the chosen brand. This is followed by the brands Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi.
