Samsung Electronics announced the release of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 ”Kids Edition in Russia. According to the company, the tablet is designed specifically for children.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 ”Kids Edition is available for a suggested retail price of RUB 11,990. It is based on last year’s Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with Wi-Fi support. The device received an adapted children’s interface with pre-installed developmental services and content from partner companies – Lego, Riki Group (Smeshariki brand), Toca and other popular brands.

As the company notes, one of the important features of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 ” Kids Edition is increased information security, including parental control capabilities. Adults can set limits on the daily play time, as well as specify the services and contacts to which the child will have access.

The preinstalled Pingo app and Where Are My Kids parenting services include a GPS locator that lets you see your child’s location and movement history on a map, hear ambient sound, draw attention with a loud signal, chat in family and even remind you to charge your tablet.

Samsung also notes a “reliable” battery (5100 mAh), stereo speakers and a bright screen. The set includes a green stand cover.
