Record in Russia and Europe: commercially available Motorola smartphone delivered 4 Gbps in a pilot 5G network

The MTS operator spoke about a successful experiment. The operator, together with Qualcomm and Ericsson, was able to get data download speeds in excess of 4 Gbps in a pilot 5G network.

This speed was obtained on the Motorola Edge + smartphone sold freely in Russia. As noted by MTS, this result was a record among commercial smartphones on sale in Russia and European countries.

The test was carried out in the MTS laboratory in the millimeter range 24.25-27.5 GHz (n258), the only 5G band currently allowed in Russia. The tests were carried out on Ericsson Radio System equipment – Ericsson AIR 1281 base stations with a signal bandwidth of 800 MHz in eight-carrier aggregation mode.

The Motorola Edge + smartphone is sold in Russia from official retailers at a price of 69,990 rubles.
