Real Mars Sounds and Perseverance Rover Landing Videos

The National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) has released a video that shows the moment Perseverance lands on the surface of Mars.

Video recording was carried out simultaneously from four cameras, two of them were fixed on the Perseverance itself, one was located on the lander, and another was fixed on the outer casing to which the parachute was attached.

A couple of days ago, a fake video with sound, allegedly made by the Perseverance rover, spread on social networks. Later it turned out that the video was recorded a long time ago by the Curiosity rover, and the sound was overlaid.

Now NASA has published a file that contains real sounds from Mars, although there are not so many sounds. Users in the comments note that they hear a little wind noise.

Now that you’ve seen Mars, hear it. Grab some headphones and listen to the first sounds captured by one of my microphones. ????https://t.co/JswvAWC2IP#CountdownToMars
