iPhone 15 will receive a sub-screen camera

TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions about Apple products, claims that the Face ID sub-screen camera system will only be implemented in iPhones in 2023.

Only two and a half years later, when a smartphone with the presumable name iPhone 15 should appear on the market, Apple will finally abandon the famous notch in the central upper part of the screen. Apple remains one of the few smartphone makers to continue to use a large notch with image sensors and an in-screen speaker hole. According to the latest leaks, the bangs will be smaller on the iPhone 13, but they will still be quite noticeable.

Many other manufacturers have long since switched to using a small hole for the front camera in the display and fingerprint sensors that are located under the surface of the screen. An under-display fingerprint scanner may appear on the iPhone 13 this year.

Android smartphone makers will launch the first models with hidden sub-screen cameras this year. The analyst is confident that by 2023 the technology will be mature enough to appear on the iPhone.
