Intel is expected to introduce 600-series chipsets and 12th Gen Core desktop processors, codenamed Alder Lake-S, later this year or early next. These processors feature a heterogeneous configuration of up to eight high-performance (P-Core) Golden Cove cores and up to eight energy-efficient (E-Core) Gracemont cores. Today the source has published the specifications of three models of the new line:

The older model Core i9-12900K will have eight cores of each type and 30 MB of L3 cache. All cores of the P-Core will be able to operate at frequencies up to 5.00 GHz, and if one or two cores are active, then their frequency will be able to reach 5.30 GHz. All E-Core cores will be able to operate at frequencies up to 3.70 GHz, and if no more than four cores are active, the frequency can be increased to 3.90 GHz.

The Core i7-12700K has eight P-Cores and four E-Cores. All P-Core cores will be able to operate at frequencies up to 4.70 GHz, and if one or two cores are active, then their frequency can reach 5.00 GHz. All E-Cores will be able to operate at up to 3.60 GHz, and if one or two cores are active, their frequency can be increased to 3.80 GHz. This processor received 25 MB of L3 cache.

The Core i5-12600K processor has six P-Cores and four E-Cores. With all active cores, the P-Core can reach 4.50 GHz, and with one or two – 4.90 GHz. At the same time, all E-Cores will be able to operate at frequencies up to 3.40 GHz, and one or two at frequencies up to 3.60 GHz.

There are two power consumption values ​​for each processor: 125 and 228 watts.
