Liquid cooling company EK has unveiled a water block for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition. It is offered in two versions – EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3070 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi and EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3070 – Nickel + Acetal. The first is distinguished by a transparent cover and backlighting. It costs 145 euros. The cover of the second variant is made of opaque black plastic. It costs 140 euros.

In the description of the novelty, the manufacturer responds with an increased thickness of the copper nickel-plated base, to the end of which the terminal is attached. This solution increased the strength and made the water block more suitable for small-sized systems.

The water block removes heat from the GPU, memory chips, and power components. The duct configuration is designed to eliminate disturbances and dead spots in the coolant flow. The Open Split-Flow channel scheme is characterized by low hydrodynamic resistance, so the water block works well even with low power pumps. It is equally effective in any direction of flow.

The waterblock can be supplemented with an optional metal plate that covers the back of the PCB. It provides additional passive cooling and enhances the card’s appearance. The black plate costs 35 euros, the nickel plated 40 euros.

Acceptance of orders has already begun. The manufacturer promises to start shipping at the end of January.
