Cyberpunk 2077 crashes CD Projekt RED stock after removal from Sony PlayStation Store

What Cyberpunk 2077 buyers got in the end. The sensational project was ridiculed in an alternative trailer

Today, shares of the studio CD Projekt RED, which created the fantastic role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, immediately collapsed from 309 to 246 PLN, although at the time of publication of the note they jumped to the 269 mark.

Let’s remind, the game started to sink the company even before the release. A week ago, CD Projekt’s shares were down 31% from a record peak in August.

The reason for the next drop in CD Projekt RED shares was the news about the removal of Cyberpunk 2077 from the Sony PlayStation Store, after which Sony promised a full refund of the funds spent on the purchase of the game. It is worth noting that the boxed versions of the game are not withdrawn from sale, those who wish can still purchase them and wait for the release of patches that can correct the situation. However, those who bought the game on disc can also return it to the stores and get their money back.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10 simultaneously on PC and consoles, however, the game was not shown on consoles until the release. As a result, it turned out that it turned out to be crude and unfinished, on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles the game runs at low resolution, performance drops to 10-15 frames per second, textures are not loaded on time, all sorts of bugs and crashes are observed.

Reviews from various publications can be found here. At the time of this posting, the PlayStation 4 version has 55/100 on Metacritic after 18 reviews have been published, and the Xbox One version is rated at the same 55/100 after 6 reviews, while user ratings have so far frozen at 31/100 and 43 / 100 respectively. The PC version of the game received 87/100 and 71/100 respectively from critics and players.

The fantastic RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has become a hit worldwide, even in countries where the game has not yet gone on sale. The game has become extremely popular in China, although the government has not yet approved the release of Cyberpunk 2077 in the country.
