Spin, a subsidiary of the automaker Ford, launched its first electric scooter, the S-100T, which embodies Ford’s design philosophy, combining reliability and safety.

With this product, Ford hopes to attract new users to use its scooters as the number of new users of such vehicles continues to grow. The Spin S-100T will debut in Sacramento, USA in July. 25 scooters will go to the streets of the city. Spin hopes to increase production to several thousand units by 2022.

The design of the Spin S-100T started in 2019, the company involved well-known manufacturers Segway-Ninebot and Okai in the creation of the device. One of the biggest problems with electric scooters is that the battery degrades quickly. Spin claims to have solved this problem in the S-100T.

Before being recognized as marketable, the S-100T underwent a comprehensive testing regime that proved that the scooter can be used for at least three years. That’s double that of its predecessor, the S-100, and other mainstream brands. Spin stated that the scooter can withstand extreme conditions for extended periods of time.

The developers have yet to talk about the main characteristics of the S-100T, such as battery capacity, cruising range, and so on.
