Arctic Freezer 50 processor cooling system available with addressable backlight controller

A year ago, Arctic released the Freezer 50 TR processor cooler for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. It is built according to a tower scheme with two blocks of plates strung on eight heat pipes, which in the middle part directly contact the processor cover. The radiator has two Arctic P fans: 120mm and 140mm.

Arctic has recently expanded its range with the Freezer 50, which offers broader compatibility. It can be used with AMD AM4 processor and Intel LGA 1200, 115x, 2066, 2011 and 2011-3 processor.

The design of the cooling system has changed somewhat. There are six heat pipes. The dimensions are almost the same and are 148 x 149.5 x 166 mm, but the weight has become less – 1160 g against 1242 g.

On the radiator of 104 plates (52 in each “tower”), a pair of fans are fixed, as before, including the 120mm and 140mm models. The rotation speed of the first is regulated in the range of 200-1800 rpm, the second – in the range of 200-1700 rpm.

The product is decorated with addressable backlighting, which is compatible with control systems promoted by leading motherboard manufacturers. It is also possible to operate using a hardware controller, supplemented by a remote control. With it, the Arctic Freezer 50 cooling system costs 70 euros, without it – 60. In any case, a portion of MX-4 thermal paste is included in the package.
